How early should I book my hunt?
Today! We only have one Illinois late season muzzleloader hunt left for 2010. We have great bucks in Indiana too. Contact us to book an Indiana firearm hunt. We are now booking for 2011. Book now to reserve the best dates!

186 inches. This trophy Whitetail was taken in 2009.
What separates Hammell's Wildlife Connection from the other outfitters?
We are most proud of our 95% return customer rate, which is a direct reflection on how we treat our hunters.
What is your opportunity for success rate?
The opportunity to harvest a 130+ inch trophy Illinois Whitetail here is excellent! Bow hunters enjoy a 60-65% chance and shotgun and muzzleloader hunters have a 75% chance.
Do you have a food plot program?
Yes. In addition to our many acres of corn, soybean, and wheat fields, we plant a mix of clover, turnips, and alfalfa.
I have been seeing an increase in the number of trophy Whitetails harvested in Indiana on television. Do you have any hunting property in Indiana?
Yes. We have excellent Whitetail deer property in Indiana just on the other side of the Wabash River! The antler quality of the deer is outstanding!
What time should we arrive for our hunt?
We suggest that hunters arrive by 3:00pm the day before their hunt is scheduled to begin. The actual hunt begins the following morning.
What is the orientation process before the hunt?
We will schedule a time to meet before the hunt begins to finalize paperwork, review hunting safety procedures and regulations, and answer any questions you may have.
Can we bring our own stands?
Yes.
Do you provide guns, ammunition, bows, and arrows?
No.
What licenses and permits do I need?
You must have a hunting license, permits, and a habitat stamp. Information is available at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources: www.dnr.state.il.us.
Are tips for the guides required?
Tipping is at your discretion. A guide must earn his or her tip. If you feel your guide is entitled to receive a tip, a 10 to 15% gratuity would be greatly appreciated.
Are meals included in the price?
Yes, one evening meal and breakfast is included per day.
Is lodging included in the price?
Yes.
Are alcoholic beverages allowed in the lodge?
Yes. Consumption is to be kept to a minimum.
